May a policeman do anything in the name of the law to keep the community under control, to protect ordinary, decent citizens? In the centre of this story are the members of a tough motorised police patrol. They are anxious to keep the peace and are not averse to using violence on minor law-breakers in order to enforce it. The leader of the patrol, Häll, young and energetic, has absolutely no doubts about his excellence and powers. Anyone who dares to argue with him can be sure of being roughly treated. Häll's mates in the patrol have adopted the same attitude. An old alcoholic is maltreated in a cell after being brought in by Häll. He is so badly knocked about that his brain is more or less damaged. Inspector Jarnebring now enters the picture, a man who, despite growing cynicism over the years, still believes in justice. He becomes suspicious about this patrol and begins to look more closely into their activities. (official distributor synopsis)
