Plots(1)

Glen is the orphan doll offspring of the irrepressible devilish-doll-come-to-life Chucky and his equally twisted bride Tiffany. When production starts on a movie detailing the urban legend of his parents' lethal exploits, Glen heads for Hollywood where he brings his bloodthirsty parents back from the dead. The family dynamics are far from perfect as Chucky and Tiffany go Hollywood and get rolling on a new spree of murderous mayhem--much to gentle Glen's horror. Chucky can't believe that his child doesn't want to walk in his murdering footsteps, and star-struck Tiffany can't believe that the movie will star her favorite actress, Jennifer Tilly, who soon becomes an unwitting hostess to this new family in more ways than one. English The perfect enema. I've been subconsciously preparing for this series for a long time, and when Bride of Chucky came out I was reading actual articles from the set in Horror magazine, but after learning about the James Bulger murder case, I dismissed the series. On the other hand, if Chucky has become just a horror comedy with the arrival of Jennifer Tilly, I can accept those last two films. As a genre change, it's very enjoyable, mainly for deciphering the various references, and the jokes have good timing and Jennifer Tilly is simply excellent (she literally plays herself). ()

English Hahaha that was just incredible. I watched it at the Brutal Assault horror festival booth and you can imagine what it looked like when Britney Spears died. Otherwise, the movie has some really strong jokes and Chucky is truly brilliant. I'm glad the filmmakers understood that they couldn't take a movie about a murdering doll seriously. ()

English "Seed of Chucky" is not a disappointment, although I did not expect the series to go any higher after the fourth installment, but I still hoped for it at least a little. Jennifer Tilly is the star of the movie this time and Chucky is a bit in the background, although some of his lines are worth it. John Waters' supporting role is enjoyable, a legend of bizarre films. I almost think that this would be a pretty good ending to the series, but Manicini is starting again and there is still something to look forward to. Or something to suffer from. ()

English As an absolute novice (of the countless) in terms of the previous Chucky films, I started watching this one without any expectations. The rather contradictory impression it gave me was mainly due to its imbalance. In a plot that is not necessarily bad, but rather silly, there are many captivating moments that showcase the director's impressive work. The parodic references to Psycho or The Shining are as reliably amusing as the massive splashes of blood that make it clear that most of what goes on here is not meant to be taken seriously. Unfortunately, the minority, which is supposed to be the opposite, falls short. The casting carousel, concerning the role of the Virgin Mary and her relationship with Joseph, to which a rather insensitive parallel is drawn with Chucky and Tiffany's relationship, is just as bad as the portrayal of the main character, Jennifer Tilly, whose overacting somewhat frays the viewer's nerves. But because Seed of Chucky does not take itself so seriously, I allow myself to somewhat overrate it. ()
