Ali Csorbadzsi, the former treasurer of the Sultan, escapes from the men of the Emperor on a ship. He commits suicide, but he wants to ensure the future of his daughter. He asks the captain of the ship to take Timea to live with the family's distant relative. On their way there, Tímár, the captain, meets the modest Noémi and her mother on Nobody's Island. For years, they have been blackmailed by Krisztyán Tódor. Brazovics takes Tímea to live with them, but keeps her by his daughter's side as a servant. His daughter, Athalie, is courted by Kacsuka. In the cargo of the ship Tímár finds Csorbadzsi's secret wealth. Brazovics is jealous on Tímár, and wants to ruin him. Tímár is more skilful and thrusts his opponent into bankruptcy. Brazovics dies, and Athalie's marriage fails with his death. Tímár has Brazovics's house registered on Tímea's name. In the meantime, Kacsuka and Tímea fall in love, but Tímea accepts Tímár's marriage proposal. Athalie wants to take revenge on the girl. Every so often, Tímár keeps visiting Nobody's Island secretly. He finds inner peace by Noémi's side and she gives birth to their common child. Tímár does away with Krisztyán, then arranges his own death and withdraws from the world to live with Noémi. Athalie wants to kill Tímea, but she is warned by a secret letter in time. Athalie takes revenge by revealing Tímár's double life. (official distributor synopsis)
