Feri and Sweet Life

Feri was a turner in the Screw Factory for 25 years, since its closing-down he has been a security guard, while at weekends he goes fishing. His wife Joli is tormented by permanently recurring headache, their son lives in Canada, and they don't even know his address. Joli hits the jackpot at the lottery, winning an amount they have never even dreamt of. Slowly, haltingly and anxiously, the couple advances into the world of the rich. They move into a luxury villa, Feri buys the factory and restarts it, Joli becomes a staunch and generous adherent of a swindler, a nature therapist known from television, while Ágika lets her parents know that she is moving to the countryside with her fiancé, a research doctor. With his days passing away in dullness, Feri is unhappy and lonely. He sets out for Canada to find his son, who had gone out into the world, and his grandchild. (Budapest Film)
