The teenager Herbert has been brought up under a glass bell, but his life changes all of sudden, when he meets Ödön, a kid of the same age. Many mischief and adventures bind them to their hide-away in a store house. Once they even lock up a girl there, who escaped from a boardig school: Herbert gives back her freedom, but loses his friend forever. A beautiful childhood ends with the millenium and Herbert's father - once a popular teacher - loses his job, because at one of his intellectual meetings a Russian anarhist revolutionary made a speech. Soon he dies and Herbert says goodbye to the small town full of memories. (official distributor synopsis)
