Midnight Music

The famous singer, Tardy Miklós, returns from his tour abroad and gives a concert in Sopron. There he meets the five enchanting daughters of General Pallay and falls in love with the eldest, Katinka of a marriageable age. Katinka returns his sentiments, but the strict father would never let his daughter marry a globe-trotting bohemian and asks Tardy to step out of Katinka's way. She is engaged anyway. Next day, on the ball Tardy disillusions Katinka true to his promise to her father. But when three months later he reads the official news of her official engagement, he realizes that he cannot live without her. He goes to Sopron and kidnaps Katinka and her sisters from the engagement ceremony. (official distributor synopsis)
