Hunting the Lion with Bow and Arrow

Jean Rouch spent seven years filming the Gow people, who still had the traditional right to hunt lions in the regions of Niger, Mali and what is now Burkina Faso. As a result of that period La Chasse au lion à l'arc was made, where the hunter and quarry are part of the same world and know one another.
