Tamássy Péter is not satisfied with his son's education. Miklós is only interested in the estate. The neighbouring landowner's daughter, Szilágyi Jutka returns home from boarding school. Her parents want her to marry Miklós, but the youths feel differently. Tamássy would like to introduce his son in the Pest society, especially since he could entrust his education to his ex-lover Marika, the prima donna. On the train Miklós meets Páldy Éva, who needs to borrow a little money and who turns out to be Marika's daughter. Marika would like Éva to marry her ex-lover's son. After some complications her plan succeeds. (official distributor synopsis)
