Plots(1)

The film combines some details of Rejtő Jenő's real life and two of his novels. The figure of the writer appears in the snowy fields of Ukraine, in an agony already of suffering from his visions in which reality blends with the adventures of his novel heroes. The tragic turns of the writer's fortune are interpreted and counterpointed in a grotesque style and with a tart sense of humour by Fülig Jimmy, Sir Yolland, Marshall Podvine, and other characters who will all die together with P. Howard, their creator, and in the company of others conscripted in the labour camp, and now marching towards the river Don. (official distributor synopsis)
