English María Félix stars as Beatriz Peñafiel in the flagship of the Mexican Film 1943-59 cycle. Are these the origins of the Mexican telenovela or an encounter with the Golden Age of Mexican cinema? My friends at the embassy did not reply regarding this question. However, finding Gary Cooper's Morocco at the end of this very heartfelt revolutionary story was something I really didn't expect. Pedro Armendáriz was also suntanned, but he did not have a medal from the Foreign Legion. However, I consider the murder using the door to be truly original. ()
