English The first free transcription of Benatzky's famous operetta that made the Swedish diva Zarah Leander a European diva. But at the time of the filming of Liebespremiere, which took place in Prague in the autumn of 1942, Zarah was in Rome shooting her last German film At That Time. The decision to give this film to another Scandinavian star, Norwegian Kirsten Heiberg, was therefore made earlier. It is generally a standard film of its time, a cheerful revue film. Once again it is a meeting between a star and a composer (the likable Hans Söhnker) over the notes of a future hit. The wedding as the starting point of the relationship, not its culmination, is a special feature. Alas, only one song was performed by Heiberg in tails and a top hat. The illustration of a spectacular pre-war scene is therefore not sufficient. Still, it's an endearing film that lacks little to make it immortal. ()
