Awarded at the first year of the Cannes festival, this film tells a story of airport mechanics who are also anti-Nazi resistance fighters. A hasty decision of one of them has fatal consequences for most of the people in this intimate drama that improved the image of director František Čáp after the war. (Summer Film School)
