Home Movie: a diary for my American-born son

Although Suchý began portraying him self and his nearest and dearest long ago and continues to do so to this day, Home Movie feels like the pivotal work of the family line of his output. It reflects on life in two very different homes that are half-a-world apart but also captures moments when the two cross paths and are drawn together, if only for an instant. "Home Movie is my reflection on the experience of leaving my native Slovakia, becoming a stranger and trying to make a home thousands of miles away from the place where I once naturally belonged," says Mišo Suchý.
