High Tide

Whodunit set against a newspaper background. Detective Castle is hired by newspaper editor Tracy, who wants protection from some alleged threats on his life. It soon turns out that Tracy is the bad guy of the story. He has killed his publisher, an undercover investigator working for the publisher, and a buddy--all in an effort to gain control of the newspaper. Tracy has hired Castle to throw off suspicion, but it isn't long before Castle catches on to what's going on and takes care of Tracy.
