Plots(1)

The characters of this fiction of sociogra-phic accuracy live in the reformatory school for girls in Rákospalota. They are all girls of similar pasts, desires and needs but Juli hates bars more than any of them, trying to make contacts with the world out there in order to leave the school behind forever. A Communist brigade from a textile plant, partially with the intention of recruiting new work-force, turns finally up in her life, fulfilling the role of "Sunday parents". Juli's reflexes of self-defence are already well-developed in a world of hypocrisy and insensitivity, yet she suffers one failure after the other. What is left for her is the last escape: perhaps she could "sell" as a wife. (official distributor synopsis)
