Barren Lives

It's like Brazilian neorealism, where we truly encounter poverty, which takes many forms, yet it's not depicted as something that necessarily needs to be eradicated. The people shown here are living their lives, but they don't seem to be complaining. They're a family and that's what's still beautiful and interesting about it. (05/04/2015)
