I have to admit that I don't think I've seen a better combination of a pornographic film with another genre - in this case, historical drama. Caligula is pretty silly by comparison. This is functional both in terms of drama and pornography, in the sense that it doesn't get boring, even if the sex is quite monotonous, which is also part of it.
