English Reign Over Me is the most honest reflection of the 911 phenomenon and features the amazing acting by one reformed comedian. It is a film that resonates with me as strongly as the memory of the plane crashing into the tower itself. And it has all this without firefighters, debris, and pathetic speeches. Bravo! ()

English More like 3 and 1/2 stars. For the first hour, Mike Binder kind of stumbles around, making you like characters he doesn't really say anything about. Fortunately, things take a bit of a turn towards the end and the emotions really come out. Don Cheadle and Adam Sandler's performances are flawless, but if the film had a little faster pace and pushed the emotions a little more, it would have definitely been better. ()

English A serious Sandler is definitely not for me and now I know that for a fact. This script is unnecessarily lengthy. In a shorter version it probably wouldn't have been bad. But the presentation and the acting are terrible. A lot of scenes unnecessarily overacted and some unfinished. The film didn't fill me up in any way and really only touched me with a few words that I'll probably forget soon anyway. ()

English I won’t deny the sensitive portrayal of Adam Sandler’s character, as well as the deep connections between the characters, but the rest not have such an impact. It is a slow and unremarkable film that mainly relies on the cast and the well-crafted atmosphere. There are unnecessary characters and some scenes did not really touch my heart. One thing is certain though, Sandler delivers the best performance of his career, and for that alone the film is worth watching. ()

English I have to say that I have been curious about this movie for some time. Adam Sandler is my favorite actor and I don't know much about him in serious roles. He did very well here, and even though the story sometimes doesn't know if it wants to be sad or make you laugh, it's not that bad. The script is good and portrays the events of September 11th in a relatable and tolerable way. It worked. It's not a movie that will probably be at the top of your film library, but it shouldn't get lost in it too much. ()
