From Here – To There

Nová Sedlica lies on the border with Ukraine, Trojmezí on the border with what was then West Germany. This programme, looking at the lives of people in the easternmost and westernmost villages in the Czechoslovak Federal Republic, was television viewers’ introduction to the new investigative biweekly series OKO (The Eye), as well as the first effort of film and television company FEBIO (short for FEničov BIOgraf, or Fenič’s cinema).
