Toy Story 3

The third installment of Toy Story was the best one as far as I’m concerned. Compared to the previous films, it presents itself as a chilling thriller/horror with a happy ending. Not even Chucky can compare with the scary and badass Big Baby. If I were a toy, I definitely wouldn't be able to sleep after watching this film. Not to mention the horrors that occur in the Caterpillar room. Compared to that, all the films with the word Asylum in the title pale in comparison. As a bonus, there’s Barbie and Ken's fashion show. The most mature (but not the best) Pixar, this time following in the footsteps of the runaway classics whose clichés it playfully and imaginatively plays with. It’s almost surprising how much it has in "feeling" in common with Svěrák's Kooky, and not just because of the pink Teddy-bear. (06/19/2010)

Toys make childhood childhood. Can you imagine life without toys? And can toys life without us? This touching story from the fantastic world of toys will move, delight, and make you laugh... Proof that imagination has no limits. My enthusiasm for Toy Story has not diminished even after the 3rd instalment, which was no less interesting than the previous two. (10/30/2010)

A perfect conclusion to the trilogy. Dark but at the same time sensitive, full of references and jokes. Some of my worst nightmares came to life so clearly... the winking baby, the monkey with the cymbals (from a short story by Stephen King) and that ending, that ending. They really had me scared and I seriously thought that it wouldn’t end well. The moment when I stopped telling myself that this is just a kids’ movie about toys and just waited to see how it turned out. And the final farewell is one of the most moving scenes that I have ever seen. So long, Woody, Buzz and the rest. (10/15/2010)

A wonderful homage to the toy world, to the classic Hollywood style (which works much better here than in many other films for adults and goes much further than any genre parody, and it’s also more realistic than most fiction productions). Great Shape Barbie and Animal Loving Ken rock on all fronts. This is nostalgia in which every minute and every idea works... (09/02/2010)
