English Now that is a joke! The Japanese have made a "spaghetti western" in which they appropriate what is theirs, i.e., all the basic building blocks of similar stories, by which the world inspired (mainly) Akira Kurosawa, they mixed it with something else, and they didn't bother with a meaningful story... And it worked. I had a great time with it. Great color stylization, choreography of shootouts, funny gore (the cross), samurai sword vs. colt duel... Entertainment that gets four pure stars. ()

English So this time I was really disappointed with what I saw. As much as I love Miike's stylization, it didn't fit at all for a western. I wouldn't mind a western with Japanese elements, but this is really tacky in which even the story gets lost. However, Tarantino pleased in the puppet-like sets. Otherwise, it remains more of a disappointment. ()
