Plots(1)

After a chat with his mum back home, Bret joins Jemaine for a band meeting with Murray, and unveils his new "rapping name": Rhymenocerous. Discussing the Conchord's upcoming gigs, Murray explains he doesn't want to book the band at night because it's too dangerous, and ends up outfitting the two in New York T-shirts so they'll look like locals. The precaution backfires when Jemaine and Bret are mugged by a "gang" of two thugs, John and Mickey, on a side street. Having already surrendered Bret's camera phone (a phone with a camera glued to it), the boys make a run for it after a song, "Hiphopopotamus vs. The Rhymenocerous," fails to fill their attackers with fear. Bret abandons Jemaine after the latter gets tangled in a fence and, guilt-ridden after Jemaine doesn't turn up for two days, laments that his friend has died. Turns out Jemaine and John were jailed after police arrived at the mugging scene, and Mickey (like Bret) abandoned his partner. Released from jail, Jemaine can't forgive Bret for leaving him to die, and ignores Bret's gestures of apology upon returning home. Finally, after they "Think About It" (a song) and Bret risks his life (kind of) to retrieve Jemaine's camera phone, the Conchords are reconciled, and all is right on the Lower East Side.
