Leonard and Sheldon are brilliant physicists, the kind of "beautiful minds" that understand how the universe works. But none of that genius helps them interact with people, especially women. All this begins to change when a free-spirited beauty named Penny moves in next door. Sheldon, Leonard's roommate, is quite content spending his nights playing Klingon Boggle with their socially dysfunctional friends, fellow CalTech scientists Wolowitz and Koothrappali. However, Leonard sees in Penny a whole new universe of possibilities... including love. (official distributor synopsis)

The Love Car Displacement (2011) (S04E13)

English So our group went outside the city again after some time, and even though we didn't travel by train, Sheldon found a lot of positives on this trip. Despite his comments about previous episodes, I have to admit that I enjoyed the relationship matters and the room swap was great. "Am I your best friend?" "Don't you read my blog?" "Don't take it the wrong way, I didn't even read Leonard's, and I slept with him." / "Remember people, we are only as strong as our weakest bladder." / "Well, I won't crawl into bed with him." "Yeah, it's like crawling into Dracula's coffin." ()

The Thespian Catalyst (2011) (S04E14)

English This time I had to lower the star rating. Although I had a good time, the fourteenth episode was noticeably weaker and Raj's odd ideas didn't impress me too much. The best moment of this episode for me was the opening scene from the classroom. "Raise your hands those of you who are familiar with the concept of topological insulators." "Don't make fun of yourselves." ()

The Benefactor Factor (2011) (S04E15)

English Yes, even science cannot do without a significant influx of money, and the creators have decided to show where this funding comes from in this episode. I really enjoyed the party with sponsors, I also appreciated the unexpected amount of Sheldon's compliments and Leonard's internal struggle. "How are you today?" "It depends on how long you plan on groping my shoulder." / "I see, so you're a space plumber." / "Hey! Who allowed you to eat that shrimp?" "See? It's fun." / "Good morning, jerk." ()

The Cohabitation Formulation (2011) (S04E16)

English The sixteenth episode again focused more on relationships, but it didn't really impress me, I missed a proper dose of unadulterated nerdiness here. This time, Amy Farrah Fowler saved the situation, I sincerely hope that no one will ever decide to support me so determinedly. "You sound a bit like a drunken monkey." / "Penny, you were disappointed by Leonard as a lover, could you please tell my sister why?" / "So, how are you holding up?" "I'm fine." "Why are you lying to yourself? It's breathtaking." / "I can smell the chine." "Actually, it's Thai food, you're exaggerating." ()

The Toast Derivation (2011) (S04E17)

English The seventeenth episode felt similar to the previous one, I had fun, but I didn't enjoy it as much as I had hoped. No one tried to destroy the Moon with a laser, no one tried to make liquid dance, and I really miss that. The only problem that was addressed was where Sheldon should have dinner - that's a little weak topic for the whole episode. "So clingy." / "If you'd let me bring chloroform, we could've skipped all this stupid chitchat." / "That's like Beetlejuice, we've said his name multiple times." ()

The Prestidigitation Approximation (2011) (S04E18)

English Unlike the previous two episodes, I had a great time, both storylines worked for me, I laughed at the collective trap on Sheldon's mind and at Leonard's gradual change of personality. "Have you ever noticed that when he really thinks hard, it feels like bacon?" / "Look, I have contact lenses!" / "So you're okay with them doing it every day now?" "Well, I'm not dating him, he can sleep with whoever he wants." "Well, I talked to Raj." / "That would be enough, I'll get some uranium." / "Heart pair." "I hate you." ()

The Zarnecki Incursion (2011) (S04E19)

English The nineteenth episode for me is absolutely top-notch, relationships do occur but the story surrounding them is funny, the main part of this episode is definitely the hacked World of Warcraft account, which is a topic very close to me. Penny traditionally plays the role of the bouncer on the team, giving others the opportunity to play the role of thinkers. "So you called the police because someone hacked into your World of Warcraft account?" / "Once I took Howard to the beach, he almost burst into flames like a vampire." / "That's her superpower. That and greasing up her hands." / "No other weapon instills more fear in the heart of the enemy than a Klingon bat'leth." / "Well, I have good news. Today, finally, some woman will touch your intimate spot." ()

The Herb Garden Germination (2011) (S04E20)

English The creators returned to relationships in the twentieth episode, and the plot seemed less interesting to me and I originally wanted to deduct a star, but Sheldon and Amy saved the situation with their experimental research on gossip. "You have dedicated your lifelong work to teaching ordinary people complex scientific subjects." "Yes, partially." "Have you ever considered trying to do something useful?" / "You are quite a fox, Amy Farrah Fowler!" / "I hope you're hungry." "Interesting. Friendly attitude here, cruel mockery in Sudan." ()

The Agreement Dissection (2011) (S04E21)

English Although the creators tried to convince me that it would be another relationship episode, the twenty-first episode belonged entirely to Sheldon, who had to deal not only with Leonard's legally justified resistance to the Roommate Agreement, but unexpectedly he was also exposed to the pitfalls of social life. "No offense, but having sex with you in the shower is now the second best thing I've experienced today." / "Is that Greek food? Leonard, you hate Greek food." "Not as much as you do." / "I saved a nun's life, so what am I being punished for?" ()

The Wildebeest Implementation (2011) (S04E22)

English Sheldon and his chess for three were unable to save the twenty-second episode's fifth star. The main theme was the relationship between Leonard and Priya, which evokes a feeling in me that he no longer has anything to contribute and that he is slowly becoming a dead end of the fourth season. "Hello, Raj. Will you join us for dinner?" "A lonely guy and two happy couples? I'd rather have a leper perform a prostate examination on me, who will then leave with only nine fingers." / "Calm down, everything will be alright." "Maybe we'll have to kill her." / "She didn't even see my penis." ()

The Engagement Reaction (2011) (S04E23)

English The twenty-third episode was indeed relationship-oriented, but this time I had a great time because the dialogues were extremely funny and Sheldon's contribution was simply unforgettable. "Have you already met Bernadette's parents?" "Do you mean Adolf and Eva?" / "Wait a moment..." "Did you lift your mother? Her own legs can barely handle it." / "It doesn't matter, I am the king of foreplay." ()

The Roommate Transmogrification (2011) (S04E24)

English Fortunately, the creators managed to end the fourth season in a dignified way, the last episode was funny, it had an unexpected conclusion, and Sheldon's excitement with Rajesh's approach to dining was almost touching. "Could you, you drunk dogs, stop that awful clinking?" "And the answer is an elephant!" / "Really?!" "You still can't talk to me?!" ()

Season 5 (2011) (S05)

English If there were any letdowns in Season 5, they stemmed from the creators veering away from the series' original direction. Don't get me wrong; I'm all for analyzing relationship problems, but there are plenty of other shows for that. When it comes to The Big Bang Theory, I'm looking for humor rooted in theoretical physics (even if I don't fully understand it) and scientists not quite cutting it in the social life department. Luckily, the creators mostly juggled the relationship dynamics well, and the humor I craved was there in good measure. So, five stars it is. / Lesson learned: Earth can sometimes feel small to determined engineers. ()

The Skank Reflex Analysis (2011) (S05E01)

English Season 5 kicked off with the line: "It's not what it looks like."  From there on, it was a non-stop ride to the closing credits without slowing down unnecessarily. The entire episode had great one-liners and I had quite a few laughs – which is definitely a plus. / Lesson learned: Oddly enough, sometimes it really isn't what it looks like. ()

The Infestation Hypothesis (2011) (S05E02)

English The second episode wasn't bad, but it didn't quite pack the same punch of one-liners as the previous one. Now, I'm not exactly a neat freak, but I'll straight up say that dragging home furniture off the streets is a hard pass for me — especially if it's upholstered. I'm just not a fan of having any life forms at home with more than four limbs, you know? / Lesson learned: If your furniture is trying to taste you, it's probably time to replace it. ()

The Pulled Groin Extrapolation (2011) (S05E03)

English Focusing too much on relationship drama at the expense of all the nerdy stuff doesn't usually sit right with me. However, this episode might be an exception. Maybe it was because Amy is essentially a nerd too. Despite a significant part of the plot revolving around her, I surprisingly enjoyed it. / Lesson learned: Never step into an area with a high concentration of methane with an open flame. Miners know. ()

The Wiggly Finger Catalyst (2011) (S05E04)

English The fourth episode of the fifth season did a decent job of keeping me entertained, even though it focused heavily on relationships — yes, relationships, plural. Raj's relationship with a woman, and her relationship with money. What I found interesting was the idea of bringing an interpreter to a date. It made me realize that the creators of The Black Adder took it even further long before that. ()

The Russian Rocket Reaction (2011) (S05E05)

English The fifth episode brought the perfect dose of nerdy content, and I loved every bit of it. It also got me contemplating some deep questions, like why I don't have a collection of famous swords or their replicas yet. No need to stress about it too much, though — axes are more my style, after all. / Lesson learned: Even your archenemy can pleasantly surprise you. ()

The Rhinitis Revelation (2011) (S05E06)

English Mrs. Cooper truly embodies everything about Texas. Every episode featuring her deserves an automatic five-star rating from my end. The sixth episode was a delightful mix of references to religion and political correctness, making it impossible not to enjoy. Sheldon's mother managed to touch on various aspects of life, from religion to promiscuity, all in one sweeping shot, and it was a treat. / Lesson learned: Speaking of promiscuity, there's something about the immaculate conception that I'm just not buying... ()

The Good Guy Fluctuation (2011) (S05E07)

English The Halloween episode was a blast. The creators let Sheldon do his thing and it paid off as usual. He was in top shape, delivering the lion's share of laughs in this episode, with the only real competition coming from the hilarious situation that landed Leonard's photo on the wall of fame. / Lesson learned: Don't stock up on holiday treats too early!
