Leonard and Sheldon are brilliant physicists, the kind of "beautiful minds" that understand how the universe works. But none of that genius helps them interact with people, especially women. All this begins to change when a free-spirited beauty named Penny moves in next door. Sheldon, Leonard's roommate, is quite content spending his nights playing Klingon Boggle with their socially dysfunctional friends, fellow CalTech scientists Wolowitz and Koothrappali. However, Leonard sees in Penny a whole new universe of possibilities... including love. (official distributor synopsis)

The Isolation Permutation (2011) (S05E08)

English Amy really stands out as an entertaining character for me; she can obviously carry an entire episode, albeit not as smoothly as Sheldon. Nevertheless, her work in the lab always brings a smile to my face, and her excitement over discovering a tumor was downright adorable. However, the episode veered a bit too much into real-life territory, leaving the quirky lives of nerds somewhat neglected. / Lesson learned: Turns out, some bacteria might be tasty. You won't know unless you try. ()

The Ornithophobia Diffusion (2011) (S05E09)

English It's interesting to see how Dr. Sheldon Cooper's fascination with natural sciences conflicts with actual nature. Sheldon is a truly peculiar character. He's originally from Texas so you'd think he should be able to kill any animal that's bothering him and turn it into chili con carne. Besides that, the (non)date was also hilarious. / "Really? Spell asthma!" / Lesson learned: It's always good to learn something new about hydroelectric power plants. ()

The Flaming Spittoon Acquisition (2011) (S05E10)

English The episode didn't exactly blow me away, but I had to give it five stars, and you know why? Stuart's character stole the show. He was downright perfect, and even with minimal lines, he managed to be the most amusing presence this time around. And the expansion pack... took me right back to the days when I used to play Doomtrooper... / Lesson learned: Three people going on a date together? Not the best idea. Although, these days, it might just be your only option. ()

The Speckerman Recurrence (2011) (S05E11)

English I couldn't give a five-star rating this time. The creators demonstrated that when two people do the same thing, the result is not always the same. I had a blast finding out that Penny used to be a bully in high school. On the flip side, Jimmy's storyline only clicked for me in the bar. After that, it took a nosedive, and I ended up a tad disappointed. / "We were practically a comedy team." "Like the Black Death and Europe." / Lesson learned: Want to meet your former bully? Why though? ()

The Shiny Trinket Maneuver (2012) (S05E12)

English There were a few standout moments that made me give this episode five stars. Besides the magic show (Bernadette's reactions were priceless), I loved the jewelry store scene and everything that followed. Seriously, I wonder how Sheldon finds the time for all his obsessions... / Lesson learned: People should get rid of all their diamonds because Greta says carbon is bad. ()

The Recombination Hypothesis (2012) (S05E13)

English Sure, the episode pretty much centered around a single relationship. But with practically a parallel universe twist, the whole dynamic took on a completely different vibe. Plus, the creators sprinkled in some great lines, and the way they wrapped up the second meeting in the hallway at night was simply hilarious. / "I'm a very vengeful person.  With access to weaponized smallpox." / Lesson learned: Craving adrenaline? Team up with a microbiologist. ()

The Beta Test Initiation (2012) (S05E14)

English The fourteenth episode took a bit of a detour from the usual. Not only was it a blast, but I also noticed Dr. Sheldon Cooper was wrong about something! I may not be a genius like him, but at least I know that there are two square flags. Testing relationships was also hilarious, and Raj's new crush was perfection. / "Yep." / Lesson learned: When a woman asks you to tell her what you don't like about her, it's like navigating a field with signs saying "Mines!" at regular intervals. Tread carefully. ()

The Friendship Contraction (2012) (S05E15)

English If there's one thing I wouldn't want to deal with, it'd be the terms of Sheldon's contracts. I mean, it's probably more convoluted than the official regulations of the European Union detailing the acceptable banana shape. But kidding aside, this episode was top-notch. It kicked off with some hilarious workout moments and managed to keep the energy going strong throughout. Great use of a lightsaber by the way :-) / Lesson learned: Train hard, fight easy. ()

The Vacation Solution (2012) (S05E16)

English I'm not really the vacation type, but if I ever decided to take a break, it'd definitely be in a place where I'm not on the menu for sharks, crocodiles, or anyone else for that matter. No interest in donating blood to a mosquito with malaria or an encephalitic tick, and immersing myself in the brain of a syphilitic elephant is definitely not on my bucket list. And for the brighter ones out there, you can probably guess what I'd rather avoid experiencing in Thailand. / Lesson learned: Do not be too self-assured. ()

The Rothman Disintegration (2012) (S05E17)

English So, breaking down the seventeenth episode, I'd say it can be split into two main parts: the Painting and the Office. Both segments were incredibly engaging for me. Personally, I'm not a fan of handmade gifts, unless it's an original masterpiece that could fund a lifelong journey around the world for me. Fighting over the office was also hilarious. The episode goes to show how challenging it is to be honest with someone you don't want to disappoint. / Lesson learned: Sometimes you get things you never really asked for. ()

The Werewolf Transformation (2012) (S05E18)

English Losing life's certainties can be tough; suddenly, the established order collapses, and anything becomes possible. The episode marked a turning point for Sheldon and Howard, putting them in a position to survive in a hostile world under utterly desperate conditions. This intense episode featured a fight for bare survival, the necessity to exhibit a strong will and a desire to survive, the power of true friendship, and a barber in a coma. / Lesson learned: In nature, be prepared for everything. You never know who will want to snuggle with you. ()

The Weekend Vortex (2012) (S05E19)

English Just about every gamer has faced a "Sophie's choice" moment in life. Whether it's unexpected visits, an unsupportive partner, the postman, a bout of diarrhea, burst water pipes, or even a fire, these interruptions always seem to happen right when players find themselves in a tough gaming spot — like a crucial boss fight where saving the game isn't an option, and the smallest mistake means losing several hours of progress. These are the moments when you realize just how unfair life can be. / Lesson learned: Life often shows you its unfriendly face. ()

The Transporter Malfunction (2012) (S05E20)

English No laughs here - I only smiled occasionally. The blame lies with the creators; they've proven plenty of times that they can churn out some seriously funny scripts, so it's a bit disappointing when they fail to put in the effort. / Lesson learned: Even Tiny Spock can get you into trouble. ()

The Hawking Excitation (2012) (S05E21)

English In my review of the last episode, I griped about not having anything to laugh at. This time, I didn't need to worry about that. Right from the get-go, I was thoroughly entertained, and it kept up until the very end. The two consecutive episodes feel like they were handled by entirely different creative teams. / Lesson learned: Being a fan can be demanding. ()

The Stag Convergence (2012) (S05E22)

English I'm noticing a trend where my opinions align with Sheldon's in certain situations. My take on weddings pretty much mirrors his, although I'm not witty enough to reference The Lord of the Rings at the same time. American weddings just give me the creeps. / Lesson learned: If you want to do something for yourself, enter into a symbiosis agreement with a lichen. ()

The Launch Acceleration (2012) (S05E23)

English With the approaching end of the fifth season, the creators went all in and got everyone (except Raj) into serious trouble. This time, Howard won with me; Simon Helberg gave his best and Howard's phone calls with NASA and the conversation with Mr. Rostenkowski almost made me laugh my head off. Leonard's enthusiasm was premature again (but we are all used to that), Amy found Sheldon's weak spot, and I had a blast. / Lesson learned: Do not underestimate biologists. ()

The Countdown Reflection (2012) (S05E24)

English I had a blast, but the season finale had its hiccups. The plot involving Howard's departure from Earth, especially everything outside his comfort zone, was downright brilliant and had me in stitches. On the flip side, the wedding situation didn't hold up as well for me. While it was enjoyable, there were moments with a few too many "Awwwwwwwwwww" moments that slightly ruined the overall impression for me. / Lesson learned: There are moments in life when it's too late to turn back. ()

Season 6 (2012) (S06)

English Season 6 was only worth four stars for me, mostly because there were too many "Awww..." moments at the expense of comedy. I wasn't happy about it because I expect something completely different from this show. I was also quite puzzled and annoyed by how the creators radically changed the behavior of some of the characters. Sheldon was taking care of the sick (and infectious!) Amy, while Raj was able to talk to women without being intoxicated, without any prior character development. Well, I was far from satisfied this time, so I'm worried about what Season 7 will bring. / Lesson learned: Even if you're not happy with something, hang in there and keep hoping. ()

The Date Night Variable (2012) (S06E01)

English The beginning of the sixth season didn't quite hit the mark for me. The plot felt a bit lackluster, with the creators diving so deep into relationship issues that not even Zero Gravity Howard got good lines. The highlight for me was the meeting between Raj and Stuart. The episode was in severe need of more humor. / Lesson learned: Don't push too hard. ()

The Decoupling Fluctuation (2012) (S06E02)

English The opening episode of the sixth season didn't give me much to rave about, but right from the second one, I didn't need to go hunting for reasons to laugh — they just kept coming. Sure, it focused on relationships again, a scenario we've seen a bunch of times before, but I was totally okay with it because Sheldon added his unique twist to the whole thing. I even found myself enjoying the astronaut subplot this time around, so big thumbs up from me. / Lesson learned: Don't be soft and spoil your dog. ()
