The film Fear in the Night suffers a bit from its slow pace and the fact that the plot isn't as surprising as it may seem, but despite the slow tempo, the atmosphere is excellently built, mainly based on great acting performances. I can't help but agree that the Hammer studio simply knew how to handle these thrillers, and I think they are unjustly overlooked compared to other horror productions from this legendary British studio.
