The last of Monogram Studio's "Mr. Wong" mysteries, Phantom of Chinatown stars Keye Luke as dexterous detective James Lee Wong, who becomes embroiled in a case of murder by poisoning. The victim, archeologist Dr. Benton (Charles F. Miller), had just returned from Mongolia, where he had led a successful expedition in which a priceless scroll was recovered. Strangely, the death took place during a lecture the archeologist was giving, and though there were plenty of witnesses to the crime, no one saw who did it. Was someone after the scroll, was a mysterious curse at work, or is there more to this mystery than meets the eye? (Echo Bridge Entertainment)
