Dad and his four children live happily in the little terrace house and the absentminded Uncle Anders is as goofy as ever. Dad is on a teambuilding course for his job and comes home late every night. So Søs, Mie and Ole are left to handle everyday life on the home front with Little Per. When Dad discovers that his wallet has stolen, he gets into more trouble than he first expected. Because the wallet contains a winning pools coupon worth Kr. 280.000, which belongs to the company's pools club, and Dad is responsible for cashing the coupon.

Dad is afraid to tell his colleagues about his missing wallet and makes the excuse that he just keeps forgetting it. But as the days go by and the colleagues begin to scorn Dad, he soon finds himself under a colossal amount of pressure. Little Per and Uncle Anders go into action to locate the pickpocket and find Dad's wallet. However, this turns out to be a harder task that they thought. At first, not even the help of Dennis, the school's ill-behaved boy, leads to a solution to the fatal case of theft.

Meanwhile, the usual routines of the home are gradually dissolving. Ole starts going steady with the skater girl Stella, Mie makes a music video with her friend Julie, and Søs is mostly worried about whether Peter will remember their second anniversary. One morning, everything goes wrong, because Dad is tired and manages to mess up everything for his children, so Little Per is forgotten and has to go to school all by himself. On the way, Little Per finally tracks down the pickpocket and he has not yet returned when the rest of the family gathers that afternoon. Dad, Ole, Mie and Søs get worried about Little Per and start a search, so the busy family can be united again. The question is whether they can figure out where Little Per has gone and whether they will get there in time. (official distributor synopsis)
