'Community' is a smart, exuberant comedy that is consistently ranked as one of the most inventive and original half-hours on television. This ensemble comedy centers on a tight-knit group of friends who all met at what is possibly the world's worst educational institution - Greendale Community College. At the center of the group is Jeff Winger (Joel McHale, 'The Soup'), a fast-talking lawyer who was caught with a phony college degree. Disbarred until he could earn a legitimate degree, Winger chose Greendale, thinking he could breeze through the mediocre school without a hitch. However, he soon found himself the reluctant leader of a disparate group of misfits, all stuck at Greendale for different reasons. The study group includes Britta Perry (Gillian Jacobs), who dropped out of high school to 'change the world' and soon found herself in her thirties with no marketable skills; Shirley Bennett (Yvette Nicole Brown), a religious housewife who landed at Greendale after a messy divorce and is now blossoming into a headstrong entrepreneur; Abed Nadir (Danny Pudi), a socially awkward, but well-meaning, pop culture savant; Annie Edison (Alison Brie), a high-strung perfectionist; Troy Barnes (Donald Glover), a former high school football star still trying to find his way; and, Ben Chang (Ken Jeong ), a former Spanish teacher who is either insane or an evil genius, or both. G.I. Jeff (2014) (S05E11) Boo!

English Oh noooo... And here I was enjoying the fifth season. The claymation episode was a major letdown for me, and the eleventh animated episode strongly reminded me of it. Throughout the entire duration, I had to wrestle with the temptation to switch it off or at least fast-forward it, but I powered through, made it to the end, and now, I can't, for the life of me, figure out why. / Lesson learned: Hallucinate in 3D. ()

Basic Story (2014) (S05E12)

English In contrast to the previous lackluster episode, the twelfth episode did slightly better by sparing me from cartoon characters. However, when it comes to the plot, it remained equally dissatisfying, leaving me with little to enjoy. Once again, boredom set in, and Abed's continuous dives into his film obsession stopped being amusing a while ago; it could use a fresh spark. / Lesson learned: Don't research your family tree if you're not ready for the worst. ()

Basic Sandwich (2014) (S05E13)

English I'll admit that the creators put in a lot of effort in the final episode of the fifth season, but, honestly, it didn't quite hit the mark for me. Sure, I stumbled upon a few moments that managed to elicit a chuckle, but the thirteenth episode was mostly filled with peculiar nonsense that failed to capture my interest. Nonetheless, Abed likely expressed the main idea when he confidently declared that everyone would be back in the next season. / Lesson learned: Seek the truth in the basement. ()

Season 6 (2015) (S06)

English The sixth season? A colossal blunder by the creators. This should've never happened. The series ran out of creativity (and almost out of actors), pushing them to rip themselves off — both the good ideas and the bad. The initial three episodes seemed to be an absolute disaster. Things marginally improved later on (emphasis on marginally), but nothing to write home about. / Lesson learned: They say it's never too late. Well, that's a lie. Sometimes, it really is too late. ()

Ladders (2015) (S06E01) Boo!

English Interesting approach by the creators. The weaker the plot, the longer the runtime. I would describe the first episode of the sixth season as boringly annoying. All the humor apparently went on strike during the union meeting, because I can't explain its absence otherwise, and the creators clearly decided to bore me with an uninteresting and unremarkable mix of weird scenes. / Lesson learned: The trick is to quit while you're still ahead. It's too late here. ()

Lawnmower Maintenance & Postnatal Care (2015) (S06E02) Boo!

English Misery loves company, and the dreadful opening episode quickly found a companion. The second episode was just as terrible as the awful start of the sixth season. Seriously, there's no humor to be found here unless you consider the creators having a good laugh at the audience's expense. The episode had two main storylines, and neither was worth filming, let alone watching. / Lesson: If your loved ones go all out to support you, make sure they live to regret it. ()

Basic Crisis Room Decorum (2015) (S06E03) Boo!

English Three times in a row, my quest for a reason to award even a single star has proven futile. The core quartet appeared thoroughly drained once again, and one of the more amusing scenes in the third episode revolved around soiling one's pants. It felt like the creators were trying way too hard to cook up some effective humor, and well, it turned out the way it did. / Lesson learned: When you start something, make sure you're up for the whole ride. A bit of risk calculation beforehand wouldn't hurt. ()

Queer Studies & Advanced Waxing (2015) (S06E04)

English The third season finally clawed its way out of the depths of the cesspool with this episode, catching a glimpse of the light. Admittedly, the fourth episode wasn't a miraculous turnaround, but it marked the first instance in this series where I felt like I was truly watching Community. While it still didn't reach extraordinary heights overall, certain moments successfully entertained me, though it was unsettling that I found Ben Cheng funny. / Lesson learned: Don't be too sure of yourself. ()

Laws of Robotics & Party Rights (2015) (S06E05)

English The previous episode was slightly better after all, but even so, the fifth episode turned out relatively well considering the odd start of the sixth season. However, the creators set the standard for this season so low that neither of the more successful episodes could reach at least a weak above-average level. I can't shake the impression that the sixth series shouldn't have been filmed. / Lesson learned: Watch out for rough classmates. ()

Basic Email Security (2015) (S06E06)

English This episode has been the best for me so far from the sixth season. It probably says something about me (or maybe not), but I quite enjoyed the invasion of privacy in the sixth episode. I guess I just enjoy the paradox of everyone knowing how easily accessible data is, and yet the majority of people fill the digital space with all their sensitive information. I find it really hilarious :-) / Lesson learned: Want to keep a secret? Stay offline. ()

Advanced Safety Features (2015) (S06E07)

English The seventh episode fell a bit flat for me. It felt like a déjà vu, recycling what we'd seen earlier (they even winked at the original, only to replay the same tune), and honestly, that didn't do much for my entertainment meter. Still, credit where it's due — it didn't plunge into the depths of sewer-level horror like those first three episodes. / Lesson learned: You can tell a crow by its beak, but what about its ears? ()

Intro to Recycled Cinema (2015) (S06E08)

English In this episode, they were at it again with the filmmaking. The primary shift introduced by the eighth episode was Abed's decision to take one for the team. It was nothing special, but I'll give credit where it's due—I found myself entertained in certain moments. Despite all the negatives, it could have turned out better, but the creators couldn't resist their trademark arrogant, pseudo-profound dialogue. / Lesson learned: Beware of copyright laws. ()

Grifting 101 (2015) (S06E09)

English Here we go again with one of those utterly bonkers episodes, as the "Save Greendale Committee" members turned into students in the ninth episode, but at this point, I'm not even surprised. The episode was surprisingly funny, so this time, I could give it a higher rating. Nevertheless, the undeniable truth persists that Douglas Reynholm was the primary source of humor for me. Although he had a different name here (what was it actually?), Matt Barry will always be synonymous with that character for me. / Lesson learned: The internet is full of grifting professors. ()

Basic RV Repair and Palmistry (2015) (S06E10)

English Here we go again—another prime example of what the creators often pull off here. The episode kicks off teasing us with the prospect of a well-crafted plot and a heap of jokes. But let's face it, it's just another one of those Potemkin villages they love to build. Even the tenth episode, with its intriguing start, nosedived into a snooze-fest of aimless chatter and a barrage of Abed's nonsense. The best part was definitely the ending. / Lesson learned: No matter how steep the prices, always fill up the tank. ()

Modern Espionage (2015) (S06E11)

English The holiday episodes were a bit of a letdown. Paintball used to be a guarantee of a hilarious episode, but nothing lasts forever. When I found out there would be paintball again and saw the great opening credits, I got all hyped up. Turns out, my excitement was short-lived. The whole thing turned into a senseless and unnecessary plot that left me scratching my head. And did they really need to stretch the episode by eight minutes just to squeeze in a stand-up routine at the end? / Lesson learned: Beware of maintenance workers. ()

Wedding Videography (2015) (S06E12)

English I did find moments of enjoyment in this episode, but let's face it, the twelfth episode was a miss for me. Abed was back at it, filming another documentary (what a groundbreaking idea!), and while I'll concede there were some humorous moments, the episode's plot mostly fell flat. As the creators steer the plot away from Greendale, the continued existence of the contrived study group is becoming increasingly nonsensical. That's likely why there's only one episode left. / Lesson: Don't force the humor. ()

Emotional Consequences of Broadcast Television (2015) (S06E13)

English The creators pulled out the nostalgic card for the grand finale. I get it — they wanted to please the die-hard fans, and I reckon they succeeded in bringing joy to the fans of the show. However, the thirteenth and final episode didn't resonate with me. Perhaps it's because I'm not such a huge fan. / Lesson learned: Don't wish bad luck upon yourself. ()
