With an alternating dreamlike and nightmarish vision, filmmaker Ellen Bruno takes on the issue of child slavery and prostitution focusing on young Burmese girls sold by their families to brothels in Thailand. Four young prostitutes recount their experiences making a poignant plea for survival. Despite their systematic demeaning, their virginity sold many times over, and the dead-ending of their dreams, these women draw dignity around them as they bravely witness the barbaric abuse of their sex.
