Starožitníkův krám

A decent television adaptation of the well-known novel by Charles Dickens. Antonín Moskalyk was an experienced director who knew how to handle this type of television production effortlessly. He chose the typecast Tereza Pokorná, who had a sufficiently childlike innocent and fragile appearance, and juxtaposed her with the cynicism of the moneylender played brilliantly by Ilja Racek and the equally exploitative lawyer played by Petr Kostka.
