Punkin Chunkin (2011) (S03E09)

English The creators really annoyed me with the ninth episode. I have mentioned before that I enjoy the holiday episodes the most, and now this. I was certain that I would have a blast on Thanksgiving, but instead, we got boredom and the dissecting of Cameron's stupid story, and as if that wasn't enough, there was also a reconstruction that ruined everything. 3* - // "Listen to yourself! Do you want to become a criminal?" "Oh, you're just like mom, I still don't know what I'll do after high school." ()

Express Christmas (2011) (S03E10)

English Oh come on! In the previous episode, the creators ruined my impression of Thanksgiving, and now they've messed up Christmas too. I understand that I'm partly to blame for it because, despite the previous disappointment, I was looking forward to another holiday. But I'm starting to get the impression that the writers used their best ideas in both previous seasons and no new ones have come up. Again, it's a 3*-. // "Ay, Dios mío, el diablo is back!" / "Thank God Phil and the scoundrel are here!" "I have a name!" ()

Lifetime Supply (2012) (S03E11)

English After two weak episodes, I could reluctantly increase the rating. Mitchell and Cameron entertained me this time, especially the ending in the garage made me laugh, but the highlight of this episode was undoubtedly Phil's dying in combination with Gloria's dream about a black mouse. // "I didn't want to spoil it for them, but if they only knew how many prizes I have..." / "The body hasn't even cooled down yet!" "The body is upstairs watching basketball." ()

Egg Drop (2012) (S03E12)

English "The twelfth episode was mostly uneventful for me, I didn't criticize Mitchell and Cameron last time, and they immediately got back at me with a musical number. This time, neither Jay nor Gloria impressed me, and the Dunphys weren't exactly in top form either. At least Manny with his trick entertained me, but I expect better performances from the show's creators. // "I made the eggs that made you so that you could make that project, so the proposal still belongs to me!" ()

Little Bo Bleep (2012) (S03E13)

English Two stars are probably too harsh of a rating, but I'm not as excited about the series as before. The episode was really uninteresting, I wasn't really interested in the storyline with Lily and the wedding, and I didn't particularly enjoy the candidacy for the city council, so there's that. // "And now they're saying that some voters think Claire seems angry and annoying. They should see her when she reads that." / "Darling, you're not annoying." "Thank you." "You just come across that way." ()

Me? Jealous? (2012) (S03E14)

English The fourteenth episode was indeed better than the previous one, but once again, there was no great enthusiasm. I was pleased with Greg Kinnear's participation, and the tension between Gloria and Cameron worked quite well, but I didn't get any added value. Moreover, I can unmistakably recognize weaker episodes by the fact that my strained diaphragm doesn't hurt. // "The noise level suddenly increased." ()

Aunt Mommy (2012) (S03E15)

English Another weak episode, it can't be a coincidence anymore. I have no idea where the mistake happened. In the first and second seasons, all episodes were so funny that I laughed out loud. In the third season, sometimes I smile, but most of the time I'm just bored. If there is no improvement, I will probably say goodbye to the show. // "In our company, we call people like them potential non-buyers." / "If you don't like Manny's upbringing, tell me!" "I'm telling you." "I don't want to hear it!" / "Manny, what happened to you?" "Football injury, mom will definitely scream at you about it." ()

Virgin Territory (2012) (S03E16)

English The 16th episode didn't bring any significant improvement, some moments amused me, but didn't make me laugh out loud. I was mostly intrigued by Phil's reaction to his daughter's irreparable damage, but even this situation couldn't be fully utilized by the creators, and that's a pity. // "Do you know how we make dolls back home? From an apple and a fork!" / "Sure, I'll buy you as many dolls as you want." "They cost 200 dollars." "You only need one." ()

Leap Day (2012) (S03E17)

English I would never say that menstruation (even synchronized) could improve my day so much. The sight of Phil, who got caught up in a series of events, was priceless. When I add his typical tact to that, it was impossible not to laugh. The good impression of this episode was further supported by Jay and Gloria's visit to the sports bar and everything that came out of it. 4*+ // "It's here. The devil's revenge. The day I feared will ruin my favorite day." / "You are still as sexy as when you were only eight." ()

Send Out the Clowns (2012) (S03E18)

English "I experienced a heavy shock, the eighteenth episode was full of clowns, and yet I enjoyed it. Manny has already demonstrated a few quality manipulations, but to use his own mother, that was a masterpiece. Respect. In addition to all that, there was Phil's fight for a lucrative deal, so I was almost thrilled. 4*+ // "Dude, quickly, teach me to cry on command." "The Rolling Stones have split up." "Yeah, that'll work."" ()

Election Day (2012) (S03E19)

English Claire's election campaign didn't concern me much, and the election day didn't improve it either. I'm glad that the whole election matter is behind me now because not much good humor was created around it. Well, well, the third season didn't turn out too well for the creators, so the nineteenth episode actually fit in nicely. // "I will probably revoke later." "What? Where are you going?" "There is a very long line here." "But there are only three people here. And nobody has a gun." ()

The Last Walt (2012) (S03E20)

English In this case, I awarded the episode weaker four stars out of desperation because Mitchell and Cameron didn't entertain me again, not even the meeting of fathers, fortunately I liked Haley's plan for a pool party with supervision, Claire's smiles as a reaction to death, and Phil's way of bonding with his daughter. 4* // "I can carry your suitcase for you." "No, I can handle it, but I would have the beer that you're about to offer me." ()

Planes, Trains and Cars (2012) (S03E21)

English I was quite satisfied with the twenty-first episode, although it still lacked something to perfection. The case of the lost bunny didn't grab my attention as I expected, but traveling with Jay and his Colombians was great. I was entertained by the car purchase accompanied by the heroic neighbor André, and Claire's reaction was also of good quality. // "Oh, those were the days..." "Yeah, if you weren't a woman, black, Hispanic, or gay." / "Wouldn't you like to come over for a while?" "No, I have to go home to my wife." ()

Disneyland (2012) (S03E22)

English Incredible! The lost quality returned in this episode, I didn't even hope for that. The plot had its former lightheartedness again, the creators finally didn't hold back with good humor, and as a bonus, Dylan returned, so I can hope for some hit song. Phil's suffering on the attractions was perfect and even the entanglement of leashes made me laugh, I used to see this in the streets of Havířov every day, only it wasn't such fun with dogs, although the owners' reactions were similar. // "What? Are your high heels already tired?" "No, is being married to a sexy wife already exhausting you?" ()

Tableau Vivant (2012) (S03E23)

English It seems that the third season took the right direction, at least towards the end. Considering that my idea of raising children evokes visions of a concentration camp in others, I probably wouldn't get along with Cameron, but Claire entertained me. This time, I actually laughed along with everyone, so I'm satisfied. // "I can't handle it, I don't have the face of a cold-blooded beast. Will you do it?" ()

Baby on Board (2012) (S03E24)

English The final episode of the third season wasn't exactly amazing, but on the other hand, it wasn't a disappointment either. True, Jay couldn't save the storyline with Lily for me, but I was pleased with the development of the adoption passage, the twist in the Mexican-Colombian telenovela was fantastic. // "A voucher for a shooting range for mom. I don't understand what this is supposed to be." "I don't understand it either." ()

Season 4 (2012) (S04)

English I was relieved to find out that the creators returned to what had been working in the first and second season, so I could forget how disappointing Season 3 was. Despite a few bright moments, Cameron is still my least favorite character, everyone else is great and some of their one-liners are downright brilliant. I’m definitely looking forward to the next season more than I was after the third one. ()

Bringing Up Baby (2012) (S04E01)

English I did not give the fifth star mainly because I was expecting more daring on Jay's birthday. However, I was satisfied with how the creators followed up on the final episode of the previous season and overall, I had a good time. It wasn't excellent, but I laughed decently, and that counts. "Once again, I want to apologize for hitting you in the head, it was the only way to save you when you were tied up." "It will be great!" "But I will gain a lot of weight." "Almost great!" ()

Schooled (2012) (S04E02)

English I expected to have fun while moving Haley to the dorm, and Phil and Claire definitely did not disappoint me. However, I never expected to be amused by Lily's first day at kindergarten. I was anticipating the usual boredom, but the clash between the gays and lesbians unexpectedly caught my attention, and Jay and Gloria perfectly complemented everything, so I am satisfied. // "And what about me? It's the mother's fault, I was always at work." / "I was packing my son with one hand and holding the steering wheel with the other, so I think I know something about safety." ()

Snip (2012) (S04E03)

English The fourth season started off great and I had a great time even with the third episode, Jay and Phil were definitely the best, I just love their moments together. At first, I wasn't too excited about the expanding family, but now I feel like the funny situations around Gloria are really working, so why not? // "Since I can't choose the door I have to go through now, I hope it will be a happy, healthy child. And especially a boy." ()
