After a boat carrying diplomats disappears on Venezuela's Orinoco River, Navy Seal Jason Fitch (Paul Logan) is called in to investigate an assumed assassination plot. But something much bigger and deadlier is the culprit: a mutant strain of giant, ferocious piranha. Genetics researcher Sarah Monroe (1980's pop star Tiffany) has discovered that they're quickly doubling in size and heading north to the ocean. Jason and Sarah must team up to stop the massive fish from devouring everything-and anyone-in their path. (official distributor synopsis)
