The lady is Dunne; the jam is what she gets in after squandering the fortune left her by her grandfather. The guy who saves the day is psychiatrist Knowles who takes her out West to visit her grandma. These jams have a way of working themselves out when a couple gets married--which is exactly what Dunne and Knowles do. (official distributor synopsis)
