English After the previous provocative and engaging documentary from the same director, I had high expectations for seeing the same topic, especially since I'm interested in the Vietnamese community's stories. Unfortunately, disappointment set in because the documentary just skims the surface helplessly, and furthermore, its duration is unacceptably exaggerated given its content. "Scissors, scissors, scissors," I kept repeating to myself, tired from the long minutes of genre shots of young Vietnamese faces or street hustle and bustle and Vietnamese stalls. The television series on the same topic has a duration of 15 minutes, and the amount of information about the issue or minority is essentially the same as in this hour-long documentary. One simply doesn't learn anything substantial. Unless the director wanted to convey revelatory truths to the Czech viewer, such as the fact that the young Vietnamese generation here can speak decent Czech, engage in sports, have a sense of humor, and dress nicely. Overall impression: 40%. ()
