Boog, Elliot and all their forest friends return with an all-new adventure that is their fastest and furriest yet - this time in a big top circus! When Boog's buddies can't make their annual guys-only getaway, he decides to take a trip by himself. Stumbling across a visiting circus, Boog switches places with a look-alike circus grizzly and takes over his part in the act. The series lost most of what I loved so much about the first Open Season somewhere around the middle of the second one. The third film capped off the sad mess with an extremely boring story and much cheaper looking animation.

Why it's still called Open Season is hard to say anymore, but it's clear it's due to the characters. Characters that are no longer even remotely funny and just show that for creating an animated feature film, you don't need a good script, just inertia. If there's going to be a fifth film, then anything is possible.
