Everywhere at Once

Of the four short films by Alan Berliner that will be screened this year, this playful collage is the most light-hearted one. Images of man, animal and nature succeed each other as if in a merry relay race, while each time the soundtrack briefly accentuates the atmosphere in a comical or surprising way. Cleverly, rhythmically and humorously, Berliner points and refers to man and the world he lives in. His visual poetry seems boundless, but this owes it to a highly accurate orchestration of human actions and natural phenomena. (International Documentary Film Festival Amsterdam)
