With its traditional animation, Spirit could never be a big hit in the era of Pixar features, even though it is engaging,
poetic and adventurous, and has heart and Hans Zimmer’s beautiful, magnificent music. I wouldn’t normally listen to Bryan
Adams in my car, but this soundtrack was my companion for many years of driving on winding Alpine roads. And those were
magical moments.

Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron is a movie where the lack of dialogue does not affect the viewer's ability to get what is going on. It is a movie with a fairly simple narrative that feels quite profound because of its context with the great soundtrack. It is a movie about a friendship between a man and a wild horse, and the desire for freedom and the final leap over the abyss reminded me of the famous movie Free Willy. All in all, I liked it. 8/10.
