Plots(1)

Similar to Casino by Martin Scorsese, where the film's site metaphorically stands for America, the central venue partially represents the China of today in the second picture of director Zou Peng. A businessman starts up a sauna, which should be a fairly easy way of making a fortune. In China, these facilities offer also special "extra services" to their customers. The dark side of the illegal business emerges when one gangster demands a virgin. The film focuses on three of the employees, depicting both their backstage and private life as well as the glossy shows at work. (Febiofest)
