The Wombles is a stop-motion animated British television series made between 1973-1975. Additional episodes were made between 1996-1997. The Wombles are fictional pointy-nosed, furry creatures that live in burrows, where they help the environment by collecting and recycling rubbish in useful ways. They were created by Elisabeth Beresford and originally appeared in a series of children's novels. (AniFest)
