Matt suffers from comic-book writer's block and can't get over his ex-boyfriend. They decide to fulfill a youthful promise to have a child together... the old fashioned way. Can they navigate the serious and unexpected snags they hit as they attempt to get their careers and dating lives back on track in preparation for parenthood? 'Gayby' is an irreverent comedy about friendship growing older, sex, loneliness, and the family you choose. (official distributor synopsis)

English Gayby caught my attention with its (at first sight) strange title, so I decided to watch it. I have to say that I was quite disappointed, both with the script and the acting. The plot is a cliché (SPOILER!) - two people who have known each other since time immemorial, one disappoints the other, the other pouts, but friendship is friendship (END SPOILER!) - but that can be forgiven in today's flood of movies. The actors and their characters failed to engage me in any way, some were unlikeable and acted too clichéd. In short, for me, the result was a below average film experience that didn't work for me either comedically or dramatically ()
