Season 5 (2017) (S05)

English The weakest season of the series unfortunately. The second half was a real mess where nothing much happened and for the first time in the series there were episodes in blue, which doesn't bode well. When I compare Vikings to Game of Thrones, where the first season was more intimate and now it's a big studio epic, I feel like Vikings hasn't gone anywhere with the budget, rather it's gone down and that's a bad sign. Fortunately the combo of Lagertha/Bjorn/Ubbe and the English Kingdom still entertains me enough to not dismiss the series. We'll see what the final season do. 65%. ()

Season 6 (2019) (S06)

English The 6th season was more interesting than the 5th thanks to the discovery of the Rus, but that's about it. The series is just treading water now. You have to wait nine episodes for one battle, all the interesting characters are gone and only the annoying ones remain. The biggest paradox to me is that the least interesting character from the entire series is the only one who has survived. I wasn't bored, but I was watching more out of principle. Visually, it doesn't compare at all to the first season. 6/10. ()
