In 1989, in Romania, the anti-communist revolution was taking place on the streets of the big cities. But all around the country, people were waiting in fear with contained excitement, in their trained paranoia, for something to change. The road through Stremt ends in the mountains. In 1989 however, villagers were eagerly awaiting army tanks, terrorists and glory. Today, though partly forgotten and partly imagined, the past is crystal clear. (Fresh Film Fest)
