Vokolek

Printmaker, painter, sculptor, and poet Vojmír Vokolek (1910-2001) came from a family of Pardubice printers, publishers, and artists (his father Václav, brothers Vlastimil and Vladimír, sister Květa) who in their work developed Christian values in the search a perfect form that would reflect the consummate perfection of the world. For many years, however, his art was not understood, many pieces were lost or destroyed, and his frescoes are being destroyed by moisture and the apathy of parishioners.
