The prairie meets Paree when a Texas rancher (Wendell Corey) brings his daughter Liz (Jane Powell) to the City of Light. There's a lot for a Lone Star gal to experience: romance with a handsome young Frenchman (film-debuting Vic Damone). Chic fashion (songbird Liz is decked out in some mighty fine feathers). And finding her long-lost mother (Danielle Darrieux), a glamorous chanteuse who may still be carrying a torch for Liz's dad even though she's won the heart of her nightclub-act partner (Fernando Lamas). With plenty of songs and dance to help the mood along, will each Jacques find his Jill? (official distributor synopsis)
