iZombie (2015)

English The series rips off Pushing Daisies with slight modifications, but the quality is of a good standard. I started watching it to have fun and not to ponder deep existential questions. Surprisingly, it worked. I got a well-made show that made me laugh, so I'm almost completely satisfied. When I compare my expectations with what I got, I should give it five stars, but I'm taking one down for the unoriginal premise and for the character of Major Lilywhite, who gave me a slight nervous tic. The character I liked, on the other hand, was definitely Mr. Boss, he was perfect. ()

Season 3 (2017) (S03)

English I was slightly disappointed with Season 3. The humor seemed substantially reduced, it was too much about heartbreaking memories of past relationships and the whole thing felt somewhat tiresome. Whenever the creators tried to make an action drama out of the show, I was getting bored. Then again, the last two episodes were actually a success in this regard. It's a shame that it didn’t happen sooner, the rating could have been better. ()

Heaven Just Got a Little Smoother (2017) (S03E01)

English At first, I was looking forward to the change in storytelling style, hoping that the series would receive a new impetus. However, after the first third of the episode, I started to feel that the creators might not be up to such a challenge. The plot with Vivian and her undead town was definitely a positive aspect, but I see a negative in the execution of this idea, which didn't quite work for me. It seems that the original model, composed of separate episodes connected by a common story, felt more digestible to me. ()

Zombie Knows Best (2017) (S03E02)

English The creators returned to the original formula with the second episode and I immediately enjoyed it more. This storytelling style suits them much better, and for the first time, Major amused me, whom I otherwise don't care for at all, but as a fifteen-year-old skater, he was excellent. ()

Eat, Pray, Liv (2017) (S03E03)

English From the episodes I have seen so far, this one was clearly the weakest. It didn't interest me practically at all, and at times I was extremely bored. I consider the series to be absolute relaxation, where I occasionally laugh, but this time there was nothing to laugh about, and it was such a relaxing experience that I almost fell asleep. ()

Wag the Tongue Slowly (2017) (S03E04)

English There has been some improvement compared to the previous episode, but a new problem has emerged. I have hated Major Lilywhite since the moment he appeared in the series, but now I'm starting to be bothered by Ravi as well, who until recently was the most entertaining character for me. So if it continues like this, my rating will be very modest. ()

Spanking the Zombie (2017) (S03E05)

English Well, hallelujah, the creators remembered after a while that the series used to be entertaining and finally they managed to resurrect some of that humor. I could even give this episode five stars, but they shouldn't cling so desperately to the topic of dominos. There could have been much more to gain from it. Nevertheless, the best moments were definitely brought by the lawyer's interrogation, he left quite a mark on my funny bone. ()

Dirt Nap Time (2017) (S03E07)

English The seventh episode didn't please me too much, I perceive it as an average piece, and if I saw one more sock puppet, I would immediately deduct a star. Actually, the only moment that truly caught my attention was the shot of the murdered teacher, which reminded me of Pinhead, my favorite character from Hellraiser. ()

Return of the Dead Guy (2017) (S03E10)

English The tenth episode was quite good, if it weren't for two factors that really bothered me. The first was the return of Drake, even if only in the form of a hallucination, but it really bothered me that he appeared in the series again just to play with the emotions of desperate romantics, I couldn't find any other reason. The second misfortune is the long-term soundtrack, but the cover of "Zombie" by The Cranberries in this episode was a bit too much for me. ()

Conspiracy Weary (2017) (S03E11)

English The eleventh episode dragged on for me, it was used as a snack for three. The paranoid debates were perfect and considering the development of the plot, I am very curious about how the creators want to handle the series in the future; considering the level of various revelations, I would expect significant changes. ()

Looking for Mr. Goodbrain, Part 2 (2017) (S03E13)

English The final episode of the third season continues what started working in the previous episode. It was only there that I started enjoying the plotline that deals with the zombie community situation in Seattle. Until then, I was not particularly interested in this topic and focused more on frivolous humor. I had a feeling that the creators were not handling dramatic moments very well, which changed only at the end of the third season. ()

Season 4 (2018) (S04)

English Season 4 made a better impression on me than the previous one. The main storyline seemed much better written, the individual episodes were funnier, and Ravi managed to make me laugh again, unlike in the previous season. What really annoyed me was that the creators couldn’t avoid the occasional play on emotions. But that’s just me, I just don’t fit CW’s target audience. ()

Are You Ready for Some Zombies? (2018) (S04E01)

English The first episode of the fourth season pleasantly surprised me, I could laugh without a problem, I didn't have to think too much. Ravi recovered from last year's slump and entertained me like he used to, his serum testing was perfect. I just don't know if I would try anything with the scent of lilac and the taste of watermelon, that's a really strange combination. ()

Blue Bloody (2018) (S04E02)

English The oversensitive conclusion and the approximately twentieth breakup between Liv and Major slightly ruined the impression of the episode for me, but I generously decided to overlook it because Liv stabbed a funny brain and I also enjoyed Angus' (un)holy campaign against impending starvation. So yeah, as a relaxing entertainment for a calm afternoon, it worked. ()

Brainless In Seattle, Part 1 (2018) (S04E03)

English This time I went with a slightly lower rating after all, although the creators started a storyline with people smuggling and their subsequent disappearance, the unbreakable romantic's brain and Ravi's fashion show didn't really amuse me too much. The police sketch artist was saving the situation, but I missed some of those other jokes. ()

Brainless in Seattle, Part 2 (2018) (S04E04)

English I enjoyed the fourth episode more than the previous one, so I added one extra star. Ravi as the bait in the "Brain Drain" operation pleased me, surprisingly Major managed to make me laugh (under the influence of a wrestler), but most of all, Blaine with his "sincere" brain impressed me. ()

Goon Struck (2018) (S04E05)

English Except for the final game on emotions, it was a successful episode. The Canadian hockey player's brain was a great choice, I was pleased with the situation around the discrimination of the zombie driver, and the abduction of Sloan Mills was also funny. Only the dragged-out heart-wrenching ending disappointed me, so I almost gave it only three stars, but then I remembered Liv's hockey performance and had to add that fourth one. ()

My Really Fair Lady (2018) (S04E06)

English I'm probably not too demanding today because I gave four points to the sixth episode. The fact is that I've been having a good time since the sexual harassment seminar, Ravi on drugs was great, and the action at the harbor went well, including the script and role division. ()

Don't Hate the Player, Hate the Brain (2018) (S04E07)

English Hmmm, here we go again, in four days, today I'm evaluating extremely boring and predictable. In the third season, I wasn't really entertained by the storyline that connected individual episodes, but this time this part of the plot is working for me, and when the creators let Liv consume an interesting brain (like in this episode), humor also kicks in and I enjoy it. ()

Chivalry is Dead (2018) (S04E08)

English The creators really pleased me in the eighth episode. Stacey Boss is back! My favorite character has returned to me, even if maybe not for long, but I'm still grateful. I was entertained by the collaboration between Blaine and Angus, and even though it was pretty clear how the money hideout inspection would turn out, I still enjoyed it quite well. ()
