It is never too early to develop logical thinking. With this premise the promoters of this pedagogical technique hit the classrooms and set out on their journey, striving for change in the intellectual education of pupils. The programe Philosophy for Children uses philosophical techniques in order to develop logic, imagination and the communicative abilities of children. Through special fairy tales the teachers disturb the thinking of younger children. The older pupils are asked more sophisticated questions. Discussing the questions, the participants learn how to form their own opinions and to listen to each other; useful assets in the present time. The documentary not only informs about the innovative education techniques, but also affects the audience with this technique. While it does not provide thorough answers to the questions, it substantially sparks the thinking processes and even questions the members of the audience themselves. On the other hand, it becomes evident that the philosophical approach per se is not a guarantee of an open mind and unlimited creativity. (Academia Film Olomouc)
