Stanislaw Lem

Stanisław Herman Lem was a Polish writer, physician, futurologist and satirist whose very popular field of literature was science fiction. The most widely read author of the second half of the 20th century, whose novels, which benefit from the world of outer space, have literally become bestsellers. The world of robots and interplanetary civilization were the leading themes that triggered a more significant wave of science fiction in cinema. Tomasz Kaminský’s documentary Stanisław Lem shows how Lem’s fantastic and at the same time philosophical level of the future influenced pop culture. (3Kino Fest)
