A husband and wife set sail across the ocean, leaving their two children to explore the freedom of being home alone. Their seemingly easy life is disrupted by fear as their parents haven't made themselves heard for a long time. Their ship got capsized during a storm and they lost their dog, the father's favourite pet. The return of the parents corresponds with a tragedy taking place at home. The son lies in a hospital waiting for a kidney transplant. We leave the family during the climax of the crisis and move to a desert island where the dog who survived the shipwreck fights for survival. And only his own. (Ostrava Kamera Oko)

English I was really excited to watch Family Film. It’s just a shame that the venture to watch it was just as full of hardships as a venture to Mordor. In any case, after watching it, I must say that it was worth it. I was expecting an extraordinary drama and that’s exactly what I got. If you like slow storytelling with a minimum of necessary dialogues and an exceptional camerawork, then come along! If not, then don’t have high expectations, or you’ll be disappointed. I thought it was great, including the actors who were an outright joy to watch. ()
