The film revokes the life and work of József Rippl-Rónai based on the memoirs of a young girl. The idyllic and creative moments of the painter's pastoral life are enlivened. A journalist prepares an interview with him, a photographer follows the two during the walks and discussions. Journeys to France, Paris, Neuilly, moving on, then the visit to the parents' home to Kaposvár in 1897 follows. Together with the memories, Rippl-Rónai's ars poetica is also formulated, being revived through drawings and paintings, birth of pictures in the "black period", then the true life and illness of the painter. Yet Rippl-Rónai keeps on creating new pieces of art even in his bed of sickness. (official distributor synopsis)
