Jaime Rosales - Wang Bing: Letter #1 T4 Barajas Airport, Gate J50

The airport as a place where all the cultures of the world meet. This non-place is the starting point for an interview between a Spanish and a Chinese director who meet in Paris. We start to observe two culturally and geographically separated micro-stories. The goal is to get as far away as possible from epistolary forms and to film a short story. But the poeticism of everyday things creeps into it, which here takes on new meanings and speaks their silent language, like for example a nonfunctioning credit card or video game console.
